Hot Off the Press

Crimefactory just published its second issue, with fiction by Ray Banks, Dave Zeltserman, Kieran Shea, Patti Abbott, Josh Converse, Stephen D. Rogers and Gerard Brennan, plus plenty of features, reviews and Crimefactory's first-ever giveaway.

The newest issue of CrimeSpree was also published this week, featuring an interview with Cara Black, fiction by Steve Torres, articles such as "When The Police Are Gangsters" by Pa Brown, columns from the likes of Craig McDonald and Declan Burke, reviews of books including mysteries for teens, and a look at movies. Jon Jordan has some great PR for the issue, compliments of Lego.

Spring came a little earlier to Mysterical-E, with 19 new stories by such authors as Patti Abbot, BJ Bourg, John D. Nesbitt, and Larry and Rosemary Mild, along with the usual great columns, reviews and interviews.

Plots with Guns is due any second now — its official publication date is today. The sneak peek is a story titled "Everything Tastes Like Whiskey" by Scott Wolven.

Spingtingler just announced its official relaunch, which is geared more towards a continuous publication format instead of a traditional issue-based setup. Currently, there's a short story by Hilary Davidson, a continuation of the "conversations with the bookless"—this time featuring Kate Horsley—plus a Q&A with PD James, reviews and more.

The latest Suspense magazine has Clive Cussler, Mark Billingham, Peter Robinson, Barry Maitland and debut author Vicki Tyley. It also features behind-the-scenes insights with some independent film makers, and a tribute to Len Deighton, the magazine's second Hall of Fame inductee.

The January/February issue of Thuglit is still online, but the spring edition should be out soon. In the meantime, entertain yourself with stories by Graham Bowlin, Tom Casatelli, Nicola Haywood, Nolan Knight, Christopher Long, Jordan McPeek, S. Craig Renfroe and Nate Southard.
