Yesterday I mentioned the Left Coast Crime Conference coming up this weekend, but there's another great crime fiction event taking place farther south. The Tucson Festival of Books is in its sophomore year and already drawing a lot of big names, with appearances by Suzanna Arruda,
Cara Black, C.J. Box, Jennifer Lee Carrell, Robert Crais, Libby Fischer Hellmann, J.A. Jance, Craig Johnson, Elmore Leonard, Michael McGarrity, David Morrell, Betty Webb, and many more (over 400 authors from various genres, in all). Another plus: the conference has raised $200,000 for various literacy organizations. If you plan to attend but don't want to lug around books for signing to the conference, the Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore will be on hand to sell you some on site.
