If you're old enough, you may fondly remember (or maybe not so fondly), the old-style wooden card-catalog cabinets at your local library. It was quite a challenge flipping through those index cards looking for the right entry, and although part of me misses that tactile experience, I have to admit it's a lot easier using a digital search.
The librarians at the Bloomington Junior High School Media Center decided
to put the old cabinets to a more modern use: the drawers are a perfect
size for most eReaders, and if you drill holes in the back and run
power cables for recharging, you get something that looks like this:
