Do you belong to a book club? My mother has been a faithful member of one such club for decades, and apparently they still do exist in other places that aren't small towns. Book Club Meetup has a database of physical book clubs, and I was surprised (and pleased) to see so many listed. But are these clubs an endangered species thanks to e-books, or will they continue, with members discussing the books they've read on their e-readers or mobile devices? I say this, because it seems that a lot of book clubs contain folks of a certain…maturity, which may not translate into the younger crowd. The Independent recently had an article about online bookclubs, which are a growing trend, of sorts, so maybe that's the wave of the future. What do you think? Will there still be book clubs in ten year? Twenty? Does it even matter?
