Mystery Melange

Friday's Forgotten Books is taking a hiatus this week, although you can still catch the archives listing listing here. Some of the regular contributors will probably have offerings today, anyway, so be sure and check those out for some fun recommendations.

Crimespree has its latest issue out, with articles by Robert Randisi, Maxim Jakubowski, Valerie Mutton, Elizabeth Sims, Hilary Davidson, Kieryn Nicolas, Mike Atkinson; interviews of Denise Mina and and Graham Brown; fiction by Edward J. McFadden III; and columns by Craig McDonald, Reed Farrel Coleman, Michael Lister, Jeremy Lynch and some reviews, too.

If you're a fan of Ellery Queen and radio drama, I came across a blog posting about programs that are still available online over at Radio Lovers.

We haven't quite finished the awards season from 2010, but some of the organizations are already accepting nominations and submissions for next year. Left Coast Crime, which will be in Sante Fe in 2011, is one of them, as is the ITW Thriller Awards and the Edgars.

The crime fiction community is filled with many terrific, supportive people, and Alafair Burke wanted you to know about some of them who have touched her life. I thought it was such a lovely thought, that I'll include a link for you of the posting over at Murderati.
