Two crime fiction conferences coming up this weekend in Alabama: Murder in the Magic City in Birmingham and Murder on the Menu in Wetumpka (yes, they're somewhat related). MMC has as Guests of Honor this year the authors S.J. Rozan and C.J. Box. There will also be lots of panel discussion and signings featuring Philip Cioffari, Meredith Cole, Margaret Fenton, Andrew Grant, Lois Greiman, Libby Fischer Hellmann, Richard Helms, Marion Moore Hill, Sheila Lowe, Sharon Potts, Hank Phillipi Ryan, Maggie Sefton, Tom Schreck, Patricia Sprinkle, E. Michael Terrell and Sheila York.
Murder on the Menu is intentionally planned to occur a day after MMC, and it's just a hop, skip and a jump down the road. Participants are seated at small round tables for lunch and chat with an author, and every 15 to 20 minutes
the authors rotate and visit a different table. There will also be
additional discussions and signings with the authors, who include the
same roster listed above.
