Last week, I mentioned the new short fiction anthology from Pulp Metal Magazine, titled Pulp Modern. But fans of short fiction can rejoice at even more new anthologies being released this month (and David Cranmer has additional suggestions):
The anthology A Study in Sherlock is the result of Laurie King and Leslie Klinger asking twenty top writers who don't normally write about Sherlock Holmes to come up with pastiche stories about the iconic detective. Alan Bradley, Lee Child, Neil Gaiman, Laura Lippman, Margaret Maron, Jacqueline Winspear and more serve up creative new spins on Arthur Conan Doyle's famous sleuth in this anthology, available October 25th.
West Coast Crime Wave, edited by Brian Thornton with an intro by Ken Bruen, is the first in a series of crime anthologies and other fiction works published in e-book format by BSTSLLR.Com, a new e-book press founded by Michael Wolf. This anthology includes original short stories from some of the US west coast's most popular crime fiction writers including Bill Cameron, Naomi Hirahara, Steve Hockensmith, Simon Wood.
Just in time for Halloween, 13 Tales of New American Gothic, edited by Linda Landrigan, includes short stories from Alfred Hitch Mystery Magazine. Featured authors are Terry Black, John C.
