Patti's Abbott's Forgotten Books Friday feature today asked for books folks particularly enjoyed during their college years, or roughly ages 18-23. Unfortunately, since my college years were crammed with the almost 24/7 life of a quasi-music conservatory, I didn't have a lot of time for anything other than textbooks and practicing. Fortunately, some other people did have time to read, and you can check out their remembrances on Patti's blog.
I thought it would be interesting to find out what today's college kids are reading. The Chronicle of Higher Education compiled a listing gleaned from information supplied by stores serving approximately 40 campuses around the U.S. Here's what they came up with:
